About PISA
PISA is the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment. PISA 2022 will be the eighth cycle of PISA and England, Northern Ireland and Wales have participated in all previous cycles since 2000. Every three years, PISA tests 15-year-olds’ skills in science, mathematics and reading, and in this cycle the focus area will be mathematics. Due to disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the previously planned PISA 2021 assessment has been postponed until 2022.
